Chile urgently needs to boost a Social Protection Floor as a public policy to address child poverty and socio-economic vulnerabilities.

“Nacer y Crecer en Pobreza y Vulnerabilidad”. A robust study of two years recently published and developed by a diverse technical group of the organized civil society in Chile: HOGAR DE CRISTO, UNICEF, COLUNGA, CIDENI, and MLIV.

Why do child rights matter and are so critical?

a) Because it’s a fundamental human rights matter

b) Children are significantly more likely to live in poverty than adults, and their impact can be devastating and lifelong

c) The State has the tools to carry out its duty through public policies to ensure no child grows up in poverty and can fulfill their potential.
