Policy Paper,

Employment and prospect on vulnerable populations, Chile.

It’s a Paper Policy carried out by EMPLEA from Hogar de Cristo and center study, Espacio Público. The analysis raises tough challenges and questions, also make proposals about this reality and work to do: How to get employments and opportunities to 2 million people in Chile, those unemployed already, and those who have left the workforce impacted by the pandemic and economic crisis?.

Over the past 16 months, the economic, pandemic, and social crisis in Chile has harmed the poor and vulnerable the most, exposing & exacerbating preexisting pre-pandemic inequalities and social exclusion, menacing despite all the actions to send thousands more into poverty.

The slowdown has severely hit Jobs and Education, affecting much more to Women/Girls than could reverse their advances at least 10 years, and for Young People with an impact on education and projections for students over the short and long term.
