According to SENDA-Chile, nearly 650,000 people between 12 and 24 present problematic alcohol/drug abuse in Chile. According to the above figure, almost 132,000 individuals are willing to receive treatment; however, the total number of available places for therapeutic programs (including Those Offered by the State and civil society) is limited to 22,000 annually. So, a massive gap of over 109,000 treatment plans cannot be performed.

Hogar de Cristo supports those who are more disadvantaged, facing poverty and social exclusion, and who present problematic alcohol/drug abuse. The foundation also provides fundamental advice on prevention for companies and educational organizations.
