An exceptional visit from Memphis, TN, to SUMATE Schools, Chile

Chris Terrill is the executive director and co-founder of a project-based high school located in the restored Crosstown Concourse, a historical building in Memphis, TN. Crosstown High School is proudly an XQ Super School. Chris has spent his last 30 years as a teacher, principal, and director at innovative schools in Kansas, Florida, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Their recent visit on October 17th & 18th to Betania School, La Granja, and P. Alvaro Lavín School, Maipú, was a highlight in our journey and its only visit to a school in Chile. They both had the opportunity to meet the SUMATE team and students to learn about its work: Transform children and youth’s lives At-Risk through Re-entry programs for out-of-school students excluded from the education system. Superheroes of their own Stories – Flavio’s testimony.
