Volunteers are pivotal for Hogar de Cristo, providing crucial support services that are the well-being of its assisted people. The volunteers donate their time, energy good vibrations so that Hogar de Cristo can fulfill its mission of 75 years transforming lives to put them back into society, actively.

This is the Story,

On April 2nd, 2019 we were lucky to be contacted by Nicole Goujon and her fiancé Charles Duplessis. They are a nice young American citizen couple living in California; both have an AS Degree in Emergency Medical Services from Mt. San Antonio College, Walnut CA/Technician-Paramedic. They have a tough job as paramedics in American Medical Response, Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Both expressed their interest to be volunteers during upcoming planned vacations in Chile on June-July 2019.

They are looking to make a difference to the people around them, sharing their experience as a professional paramedic in the United States. Other goals during their vacations are to better know Chilean society, develop new skills-experience; and improve their own Spanish language.

Nicole and Charles will be working between June and July in some SUMATE Schools Programs, teaching English as a foreign language to Chilean students; and also in workshops related to Disease Prevention and Health.
