It’s a joint effort from Hogar de Cristo and the MEGA Chilean television network.
 
Let’s clean its anguish and mud.
 
It seeks to raise US$ 32,000 in one week to bring 500 urgent house and personal cleaning KITS to those most disadvantaged and severely hit by the rainfall and mud. Licantén is one of the most affected; around 700 families are isolated and anguished, begging for more urgent help.
 
Specialists have described this disaster as one of the worst weather fronts in a decade in central/south Chile, creating massive rainfall, river overflow, and mudslides that have unfailingly hit the poor-vulnerable the hardest.
 
Tragically just a few months ago, these areas were also severely hit by wildfires due to drought, which destroyed hundreds of properties and thousands lost everything.
