On October 29, Miami, FL, the Hogar de Cristo Foundation held an event named -Encuentro Social, Chile 2030”- as part of the 80th anniversary of its founding by Fr Alberto Hurtado. The event was part of tour meetings in the U.S. by the Executive Director, Juan Cristóbal Romero, and Chaplain General José F. Yuraszeck.

In this context, the challenges to overcome poverty in Chile were reflected upon, addressing the concrete social innovations developed by the foundation in these eight decades. The foundation also thanked friends, donors, and collaborators who generously contributed from the U.S.
