Book launch:
Cartografía Social de Chile, 2024 – Habitabilidad y territorio hoy.

Universidad Alberto Hurtado in Chile, through the Vives Center at the Vice-Rector’s Office for Research and Innovation, launched on August 26 the book “Social Cartography of Chile, 2024 – Habitability and Territory Today,” which is available in Spanish.

This publication aims to support the design and implementation of public policies and social initiatives through evidence and reflection, based on community work involved in projects promoted by the Society of Jesus in Chile. It combines community experiences with technical, professional, and academic perspectives to systematize knowledge and identify the country’s key social gaps and structural challenges.

The first edition explores the interconnected themes of habitability and territoriality. It combines empirical data from fieldwork with scholarly analysis, providing a thorough understanding of the issues. By fostering this dialogue, the publication aims to inform decision-making and advocate for a more equitable and sustainable social agenda.
